In anticipation of his upcoming exhibitions at the Dutch Institute in Paris and the National Gallery of Iceland, Kees Visser’s new solo show at the Jérôme Poggi Gallery highlights unexplored facets of the artist’s work. The gallery brings together conceptualism and pictorialism by presenting, for the first time, the artist’s paintings alongside his photographs. Opposite a new series of diptychs on paper, Kees Visser has created a large-scale in-situ mural which testifies to the singularity of a body of work that is at once methodical and intuitive, conceptual and visual, minimalist and sentient.
