15 Apr – 28 May. 2011

Despite of news of growing importance on the institutional French and international scene (Nuit blanche at the Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint Laurent, Palais de Tokyo, Confort Modern, Exit Festival, etc.), Bertrand Lamarche didn't go any personal exhibitions in a gallery for ten years. Now associated to the gallery Bertoux & Poggi, which presented his work in the last edition of FIAC, Bertrand Lamarche invests all of the gallery in an exhibition on display from April 15 to May 28 with the support from the National Center of art, Ministry of Culture. The exhibition will also be presented in Berlin, in the gallery September. Entitled LOOPING, the exhibition consists mainly on a facility that will occupy the lower room of the gallery, marking a further step in the development of its fictional cabaret. The obsessive voice of Kate Bush, that the auditors of the Palais de Tokyo have already heard on his answering machine for the entire month of February, gives rhythm to the constant movement of a mirror driven by an anamorphic disc tray projecting a luminous and spectral image . A set of drawings and photographs completes the main installation, which echoes another installation on the ground floor, drawing a foggy meteorological landscape.
