L’Obscur vient au Jour, Group Show
This summer Galerie Poggi is pleased to present a group exhibition structured around an outstanding work by Darío Villalba, an essential figure when it comes to understanding art after the Informalist generation of the 1950s in Spain.

His work has been recognized by the most important art institutions, for pioneering the use of photography as painting : emulsified, intervened and transformed. For the first time at the gallery, we present one of his most iconic works, an “encapsulado” from 1974.
Confronting modern and contemporary works, individual and collective histories, the exhibition looks at the way many artists have suspended time both formally and intellectually in order to create a space for reflection around marginality. This fragility – of the human condition, of the settings in which we evolve, of the values that structure our world – is reflected by the materials of the chosen works : floating fabrics, tenuous threads, plays of light and transparency.
