Troy Makaza
For its spring 2025 season, the gallery has developed a program centered around the work of Troy Makaza (born in 1994), to whom it is dedicating its second exhibition in Paris. Notably recognized at the last Venice Biennale, where he represented Zimbabwe alongside five other artists, his work is currently featured in the inaugural exhibition of the new Museum of Sufism, which opened in Chatou in September 2024. Additionally, Troy Makaza will be in residence at the Ferme du Buisson Art Center (Noisiel) until April 2025. Titled Gutsa Ruzhinji, his exhibition at the gallery brings together a selection of about ten works recently produced in his new studio in Marondera, located one hour from Harare, and at the Blachère Foundation, where he was in residence last autumn.
