Wesley Meuris, À L’Enseigne

To embody the gallery’s new project, Belgian artist Wesley Meuris was commissioned to redesign the gallery’s exterior façade.

Imagined as a conceptual sign, three luminous windows represent the symbolic activity of the gallery, in the same way Watteau painted the sign of his merchant Gersaint in 1720. Echoing this installation, the artist inaugurates at the same time the ” Cabinets ” program which now articulates the gallery’s interior exhibition spaces. He presents a set of collages, playing with the codes of the art trade.
