Curated by Julie Crenn, the Centre d’Art Transpalette in Bourges will present a collection of Bérurier Noir archives and works by thirteen artists from different backgrounds. Titled “Salut à toi” (Hail to you), the exhibition demonstrates the continuity of the group’s struggles, from the 1980s to the present day. The exhibition also traces the history of the band that left a lasting mark on the punk rock scene. The story of Les Bérus expresses a graphic survival: the collective need to denounce state violence, injustice and systemic oppression that endures over time. For this exhibition, Babi Badalov will create an exceptional 15-meter-long fresco.
