Djamel Tatah, “Sans Titre”

In spring 2024, the Musée Matisse in Nice will offer a renewed tour of part of its collection by inviting painter Djamel Tatah (born 1959 in Saint-Chamond) and curator Éric de Chassey. They have selected some one hundred graphic works and sculptures by Henri Matisse (1869-1954), spanning his entire career, from the museum’s collections, augmented by exceptional loans from the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA). They will alternate with some thirty large-format paintings by Djamel Tatah, selected from his output over the last twenty years and from both public and private collections.
