Josèfa Ntjam, “A cosmogony of oceans”
From March 20th to 25th, Josèfa Ntjam‘s solo exhibition ” A cosmogony of Oceans ” presents thirteen works created during her six-month residency organized by LVMH Métiers d’Art.
In line with her work, which blends myth, science fiction and new technologies, Josèfa Ntjam has chosen to pursue her research on bodies of water and to design 3D-printed sculptures and totems, which are the first metal productions in her practice.
These exceptional new works are the result of extensive dialogue with the craftsmen and engineers of the Jade Groupe metal parts factory. A factory specializing in the production of small-scale metal parts, Ntjam and the team on site faced a major technical challenge in producing large-scale sculptures using the same machines, dividing these large pieces into dozens of smaller parts in order to fit them into the Jade Groupe production line.
The exhibition will be on view for five days only. It will be open to the public from 11am to 6pm.
