​​​​​​​​​​​​​​In parallel with the exhibition Victor Horta and the Grammar of Art Nouveau, the French and Canadian artist Kapwani Kiwanga is invited to create new work with as its central piece a rug with an ornamental floral pattern. The decorative allure of this floor covering is inspired from Art Nouveau and alludes to shared histories between territories that were home to botanic species that were imported to Belgium.
