Nikita Kadan, “Skin and Shell”

For his first solo show in Vilnius, entitled “Skin & Shell”, Kyiv-based artist Nikita Kadan (re)constructs the shelter, where the artificial environment merges with the living environment and forms it as a breathing living organism, with its new reconstructed organs, skin, and shell. Nikita Kadan here works as a forensic artist, organising a space with the objects that not only signify the workings of the catastrophe, but also act as ruins/shelters or even guns that have the agency to protect human skin and the skin of buildings.
