Sophie Ristelhueber, “L’Horizon Sans Fin”

Opening with Perugino’s Marriage of the Virgin (1504), the jewel in the crown of the museum’s collections, with the horizon of the landscape at its center, the exhibition presents some one hundred works dating from the 16th to the 21st century, by Albrecht Dürer, Caspar-David Friedrich, Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Anna-Eva Bergman, Jan Dibbets, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Sophie Ristelhueber, Gererd Richter, Elina Brotherus, Tania Mouraud and Tom Nadan. .. The paintings, drawings, engravings, installations and video works on display are complemented by a unique collection of rare editions of perspective treatises published between the 16th and 19th centuries.
